I have been told many times that this story made no sense, but it actually made perfect sense! Allow me to explain...
The Story:
There are two competing balances in the universe.
'The God Machine' and 'The Devil Machine', both are evil, both are good, yet both are neither.
But, like our favorite boy wizard and his antagonist, one cannot live while the other does. 'The God Machine' must defeat 'The Devil Machine', and vice versa.
Now this battle has happened countless times throughout history, when either Machine is defeated it goes into 'remission' and eventually returns.
'The God Machine' and 'The Devil Machine' are intangible, they must chose someone to complete their actions.
These are called 'Living Carriers'.
When a 'Living Carrier' is exposed to an 'Element', 'The God Machine' or 'The Devil Machine' becomes 'active'.
'The Living Carriers' are often guided by the 'Voice of Ages'.
Once 'active', 'Living Carriers' are endowed with 'abnormal feats': nothing is unobtainable. But they are also infused with 'The Sickness'.
'The Living Carriers' cannot keep these 'abnormal feats'. When they return, 'The Living Carrier' may remember nothing, or very little.
'Dreams' are the only way to recover a 'Faded Memory'.
Once 'active', the 'Machines' will seek each other out. Death will occur soon.
'The Destruction' is inevitable.
But I thought that was obvious.
