I have never been a huge fan of Splinter Cell, the reason for that is probably my lack of grace. I try my hardest to ease slowly through the shadow soaked corridor, grab the impervious guard from behind, and drag him to his untimely demise. What usually happens is that I trip the control stick, dash into the, now aware, guard, who feels that my interruption warrants a nice dose of lead from his AK and an alarm that alerts everyone on the level that I have indeed been 'made'. My reaction to this is simple... blast my way out. Now in MGS you can get away with this type of behavior, Splinter Cell is far less forgiving, because of this I'm more inclined to dust of Snake Eater than I am Pandora's Tomorrow. Besides Snake just oozes cool, Sam Fischer reminds me to much of my grandfather lurking about waiting to snap my neck.
